A project for a spacious apartment designed for a family with two children. The layout includes a large kitchen combined with the living room, the master bedroom with a private bathroom that accommodates a sauna — a true relaxation space for the parents — two children’s rooms, and a separate study for the head of the family. Thanks to the architectural features of the project, one of the kids’ rooms was created as a two-level space.
The main goal was to create functional and well-thought-out solutions that would remain relevant for many years. As a result, the interior turned out cohesive, calm, and modern. The almost monochrome grey palette of finishing materials fully reflects the clients’ main request and will remain timeless. Although the entire project follows a unified grey theme, some rooms are designed to be more serene, while others are more dynamic and feature deep graphite shades of porcelain stoneware. The emotional character of each room was determined by its purpose and its owner.
After all, interior design is not only about choosing the right natural materials — it is also about the emotions and mood they can convey.
Large windows make the living room and kitchen airy and bright. The sofa in this area serves as a zoning element, separating the kitchen from the lounge space. The master bedroom is designed in restrained tones, without excessive visual noise.
The floors in the entrance hall and the walk-in wardrobe are finished with Italon Millennium Black porcelain stoneware in 80×160 format, which fits perfectly into the overall palette of the apartment.
This minimalist yet highly functional project was created by designer Victoria Shimokhina from Krasnoyarsk. She carefully considered all the clients’ wishes and designed a monochrome, modern, and interesting home for a family with two children — a space now filled with life and love.
